Traditional Pre-Licensure, BSN

The philosophy of the RU School of Nursing is based on the ideals of Christian koinonia, embracing concepts in community, communion, joint participation, sharing and intimacy, providing a solid foundation in the liberal arts, and an understanding of civic responsibilities. We believe that nursing is a spiritual calling which requires a caring attitude, strong critical thinking skills, effective communication techniques, cultural understanding, and moral character that is worthy of the public’s trust. The nursing program’s organizing framework is grounded in the six primary program concepts of Spirituality: Caring, Critical Thinking, Communication, Cultural Understanding, and Community Oriented.
