Athletics

The administration, faculty and coaching staff at Rochester University desire for each student-athlete to achieve his or her full potential in every area of life.We are committed to providing opportunities for growth through practice, competition and personal relationships. Developing God’s given potential, accepting responsibility, and learning the value of being gracious in defeat and humble in victory, are dimensions of growth as athletes and as people. Members of the athletic program will strive to represent the institution in a positive manner, and act with courtesy and respect for all.

RU is a member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics . We have 18 men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic teams that compete in 12 sports.

Our student-athletes also take part in Champions of Character, an NAIA initiative to change the culture of sports. RU is a consistent winner of the Champions of Character award for setting the standard in athletic integrity, respect, sportsmanship, servant leadership and responsibility. In addition, our athletes are known for performing well in the classroom and persisting to graduation as indexed by our conference and national scholar-athletes and our internal data as compared to the overall student body.
