Warrior Spotlight: Aleah Dymond

A senior nursing major, Aleah Dymond is already pursuing her goal of helping others.

Dymond started her education at Rochester Christian University at the young age of 14 when she started taking classes through RCU’s Early College Program as a student at Oxford High School.

Even then, people told Dymond they see her becoming a nurse one day. “I just like being able to help and care for people when it’s the hardest times of their lives,” she said.

While in her academic program, Dymond said she particularly enjoyed her psychology and pediatric classes, and she enjoyed taking care of babies in the labor and delivery rotation.

Dymond maintains an extremely busy schedule in her last collegiate year. She works as a nurse technician on a step-down critical care unit, while also working in the ACE Lab tutoring science and nursing majors, and as an academic peer mentor and student leader. She also sings at the Offering, RCU’s monthly night of worship through music.

She competes on RCU’s cross country and track team. “I like the nature of the campus; it’s really pretty. The trails are fun to run on,” Dymond said.

Dymond possibly wants to work in a pediatric realm or do medical research. Her greatest hope in life is, “To find what I’m good at and enjoy doing in the healthcare field,” she said.
