You’ll become a socially conscious nurse who’ll be able to contribute leadership and clinical skills in a variety of settings – with both compassion and know-how.

degree requirements

This program prepares you to take the NCLEX exam in the State of Michigan. Graduates who want to practice in other states should review the requirements of that state via the Board of Nursing link below.

As a graduate of the Nursing program, you will be able to support individuals, families and communities as an advocate while synthesizing knowledge from the liberal arts, applied sciences and current research in the delivery of nursing care. You’ll develop a commitment to community involvement and leadership within that community while being able to evaluate communication techniques, and advocate for culturally diverse healthcare practices.

alumni testimonial

Since starting her nursing career, Linda has been nominated for more than ten DAISY Awards, an international nurse recognition program that celebrates the compassion and skill nurses bring to patients.

“I don’t do anything extraordinary – nursing is just my ministry. It’s a calling. You meet people in a vulnerable state. You hold their hand, and you listen. As a Christian, as a mother, as a human being, I know I’m here to save lives. RCU helped me lean into my vocation, and gave me the training and skills I needed to succeed.”
